Current Population of the City of Conway: 58,908
Conway’s population was recorded at 58,908, placing it as the seventh most populated city, behind North Little Rock, Jonesboro, Springdale, Fayetteville, Fort Smith and the most populated city, Little Rock. The City of Conway grew 36.5 percent in the last decade, according to census data.

The Conway Civil Service Commission will hold a public hearing to discuss proposed changes to the Civil Service Rules relating to the probationary period for new police officers, promotional requirements for fire fighters. and to update its Civil Service Rules and Regulations to conform with changes in state law. A public hearing will be held on Tuesday, August 26th, 2014 @12:00 pm in the Multi-purpose room at the Conway Police Department. (1105 Prairie St., Conway, AR 72032). Interested persons are invited to attend this meeting.

Ward 2 Meeting
Ward 2 Meeting - Alderman Wes Pruitt and Alderwoman Shelley Mehl are hosting a Ward 2 meeting on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm at the main branch of the Faulkner County Library. This is the annual general information meeting for Ward 2, but we want to share information about the sales tax rededication, street projects, Markham and Pine Street development projects. Representatives from the Planning and Streets departments will also be attending.

Ward 2 is the northeast section of the city of Conway north of Oak Street and east of Salem Road. For any additional information please email
